There are times when I spend more on ingredients than if I had bought a ready meal, i.e when I make homemade pizza, BUT homemade fills me up for much longer and it's better for my health so really it just works out better if you make your own cheap, filling and healthy meals
Just to add: if you have any Asian shops, they are often better value than Tatco for instance, and there's nothing wrong with frozen veg & fruit if the fresh stuff is too far out of your budget
Thank you hun....I really appreciate the advice....and we DO have an Asian Shop not far from here which does cheap fruit and vegetables....So I can shop there....
I guess it's all about DOING something and NOT just talking about it....
I AM getting there....and I am GOING to get there....I AM doing it....And I want to focus on my Work first...And get that sorted out so that I CAN sustain a decent level of living...if that makes sense...
Am looking at my Budget again this morning....I WILL find a way of doing this that is REALISTIC...
Chat to you all later xXx0 -

Before I wrote the posts for you I went back and read all your diary and the previous threads you've posted to get a better idea of how things are for you.
You've been a member of MSE for 5 years and you're still posting exactly the same things.
Don't believe me? You posted this on 8 September 2009.
"It's about pulling my head out of my !!!! and realising that if I want to do all the wonderful things that I want to do both this Year AND next Year that I need to get my !!!! in gear and work bloody hard until I've achieved what I set out to do."
I really really want to see you do what you say and succeed, I really do but I can't make that happen - only you can.0 -
I know you are right Upsidedown Bear....And I appreciate you telling me the way that things really ARE....
I HAVE been talking about things for years and years...and I never seem to achieve what I want....and I guess that's because I just talk about it and never DO anything...
So this Week I HAVE started to "do"....I AM achieving my Goal for the Week in terms of Work...and that is the first step to "doing"....In my eyes anyway...and I feel proud that I can achieve that....
I guess it's about having REALISTIC Goals rather than pie-in-the-sky Goals....And one of my Goals since I was 16 has been to be a Psychotherapist...and I AM slowly achieving that Goal...I have stuck with my Course and am now a 3rd Year...so i feel proud of that too....
Things ARE changing for me....0 -

Morning Helen,
How are you today? Hope you are well?
I agree with everyone else, tackle one thing at a time and when you succeed you will feel amazing! I've spent this month tackling the money situation and haven't used my credit card at all for nearly 2 months now! It feels good!! Oh and live within your means, if you can't afford it dont have it, if you can afford it think do you need it NOT want it.

I was at College yesterday afternoon/evening which is why I couldn't Reply...and when I got home I didn't have the energy to Reply to anyone....
I am changing my attitudes to Work and it feels really great....This Week I WILL hit my Target...come hell or high water....
And if I can hit it this Week then I can hit it another Week...and another...and another....until hitting my Target is just standard....
So that's where I'm at this morning...tired...but getting there...0 -

LoL Crimson hun....I hope you're right.....It would be nice to go OVER my Target....but this Week I'll settle for making my Target dead-on....
Am Working the Overnight tonight....I WILL get there!! I'm starting at 11pm....until morning....
Trying to feel positive but I can't always stay that way....It's not human nature to ALWAYS stay positive....but things ARE changing for me, slowly, bit by bit....and I WILL get there...0
