anyone know how to split a Liverpool to London journey?
It's from £12.50 each way on a direct train. I'd be amazed if you can do better

The Birmingham to Bristol sector is cheaper booking at Cheltenham. For York - Birmingham you'll have to experiment - maybe rebooking at Sheffield and Derby.

But at this late stage your scope is limited - you'll be paying standard fares.

Anyone have any ideas on Sheffield to Poole, I need to get the train to POOLE arriving before 12! 54.85 was the cheapest I found but it was NOT LONDON, I would prob go back via london.

    Thats with a Y-P Railcard

    Thanks

Try megatrain for the Birmingham - Bournemouth sector, and for Bournemouth - London going back

It's a way of selling very cheap fares on existing trains. On a few Bournemouth - London trains a coach is set aside for megatrain passengers. Where Virgin do it you just find an empty seat (or not,as the case may be). Advance booking internet and mobile phone only.

http://www.megabus.com/uk/ - it shares a website with megabus, don't be alarmed.

So I would need a SOR on the Sheffield to Birmingham route (Changing at Derby) £32.35 as the Saver wont be valid, £10.00 to Bournemouth and £1.90 CDR to poole. £44.25, better! lol, the £5X.XX Saver wouldnt be valid for travel at 5am from sheffield anyway would it?

This may be a false memory, but ISTR that GNER savers to Peterborough had far fewer time restrictions than those to London - so maybe saver to Peterborough, SDR London, CDR Poole (though you may just be too early for that)
