does anyone know the best way to cut journey London-Liverpool(Lime St) and viceversa? Thanks

Try Megabus (they do trains as well) prices from £3 each way, only 2 problems not many trains per day and no trains at the weekend.

London Midland tickets are far cheaper than Virgin though somewhat slower.
  • Can anyone help me find a cheaper ticket than £38.70 for Potters Bar - Sheringham from the 27th August to 3rd September return? Cheers!

£11 each way advance single from Liverpool Street to Sheringham is a starter - but getting to Liverpool Street is the killer. Do you have an Oyster (for the in zone bit of it?)

  • Season tickets for services to London offer an add-on to include travel within zones 1 to 6.

A search on the Network Rail website for fares the other way -- travelling from London -- only offers standard season tickets, between two stations.

I want to travel daily for a week between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway. Is it the case that I can buy a season ticket including travel on the London Underground as long as I request at the Paddington ticket office a season ticket FROM Didcot to London zones 1 to 6?

The fare from Didcot to Paddington for 7 days is £105, or £123 to include zones 1 to 6. That makes daily travel on the tube only £2.57 which seems a bargain.
  • Hi I'm wanting to go from Newcastle to Grimsby on the 18th of this month anytime after 16:00 and come back on the 20th after 18:00 - I have a railcard 16-25 what is the cheapest I can get? I've looked and it's around £42

Another question, when splitting how come I checked going from Grimsby to Newcastle on the 8th December
    06:26 - Grimsby Town 07:33 - Doncaster

    08:09 - Doncaster 09:42 - Newcastle

    11th December

    17:35 - Newcastle 18:57 - Doncaster

    19:37 - Doncaster 20:37 - Grimsby Town

and just on National Rail got it for 29.50 yet when I split it comes out more expensive as £36.00

    Is splitting not always cheaper?

    Thanks.
