Thank you....that's a nice thing to say.
What I think is especially awful is that this is not just a faceless company.... People form companies. Some people out there have actually thought they could make money out of making other people unhappy like this. These are people who are happy to con other people out of money for the sake of their own profit. They're the ones who should be lying awake at night aren't they, rather than me?
I know people do far worse things to each other but it just never ceases to amaze me! Naive I know.
It may make you feel a bit better to know that UKPC may have quite a bit of worry coming their own way next month!

Unfortunately no one can say how persistent they will be, everyone seems to be different. However just remember the latest letter you receive is just as meaningless as the last!
Dont worry about them just take care of yourself!;)0 -

I wish it was possible to take action against companies like this for the distress they cause....I know in practice that would be difficult to quantify!0 -
You can take action by telling everybody about this nasty little scam.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

The McDonald's experience depends upon the staff in the store at the time and to a degree, the management. You get good service and bad service, where it is good, the food is generally better - not least because they listen to you when describing how you have things. To avoid quarter pounders and Big Macs, I choose the Double-cheese from the saver menu (£1.39 give or take 10p), then ask for the cheese to be removed - as I don't like it in the first place; finally requesting Mac Sauce (their burger sauce on Big Macs - on top of the ketchup and all else that is normally included). There, the RENEGADE burger, try it!
Well done to Jenny and I think everyone else has cut my work out now that the OP has decided to make this a victory for justice by not paying the rogues. Bottom line: a landowner can sue for damages and in the case of parking two hours on his land, it amounts to nothing. UKPC are known scammers, and they will not do court because they will lose. Continue to ignore ALL documentation even if it's from these "debt collectors" who may look official, but are in fact scam-mongers themselves.0 -

That post made it worse...
"However under trespass laws, only the landowner can sue for any damages endured by the trespass. So unless the car-park was full which meant customers couldn't park the damages will likely be zero. ... And even if it was full, the amount would only be the profit of another carload of people which would be pretty much nothing. And good luck trying to prove that a carload of people decided to pull up, and then not come in because someone was "overstaying their welcome", despite that someone still patronising the restaurant."
Might they try and fine me for sitting at the table for two and a half hours and only drinking two cups of tea?0 -

The giveaway clue to whether the demand presented to a motorist is genuine regarding losses when car parks are full is that the amount in question needs to be fixed. Once they state "£80 but reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days", they have let the cat out of the bag. What is the loss to the landowner? £80? Then why accept £50? Or if it is £50, who are they to increase it to £80? Check mate.0 -
If you drank two cups of McDonalds tea, it should be you suing them!!!:o0
