He won't be able to stop those who research the matter properly. Also, if you download it you can have the full retail version now! Unfortunately I don't have the hardware to try it out.0 -

Instead of wasting all that bandwidth downloading it why not just walk into the nearest computer store when it's released, pick it up off the shelf and walk out again without paying? Amounts to the same thing ultimately. :rolleyes:0 -
It's already been cracked, some people have been using it for more than 30 days already. There is always a way round, and with something as important as an OS, they're going to work just a bit faster.formerly mrmilo690

For most people using their home machine, I would suggest:
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit Edition DVD - OEM - 1Pk (66I-00715)
Which is £66.99 (£78.71 inc VAT) from OcUK
When buying the software marked OEM, it just simply means that you don't get the lovely box and manual. Its just the CD and a bit of paper usually.
However you can find more about the editions:

I have been told its full of spyware!0

Oh here we go...
I wondered how long it would be before someone started a lecture on morals. As I said above, I have no plans to download it as I don't have a computer powerful enough to run it. If I had downloaded it I would have a perfectly clear conscience. It's not the same as stealing from a shop!0 -
Well, i'm not too sure about the OEM thing, i don't know whether microsoft changed the policy back or not, but the draft i read stated that OEM could be installed on one machine, full stop. No re-activation, so no rebooting, no changing hardware, nothing.formerly mrmilo690
