I wouldn't put supermarket petrol in my car even it was 5p a litre cheaper.

    Why?

Having done hundreds of thousands of miles in cars using almost exclusively supermarket fuel (including quite a few laps of a very long track in Germany), I cannot see any problem.

All fuel has to meet the BS standard which is what you car is designed to run on. You may miss out on some hyped up additive, but the reality is it makes very little (if any) difference

BP supplies all Sainsbury's fuel. Nothing wrong with supermarket fuel.
