    Ironing? Pft.
Hoovering? Once a fortnight is plenty.
Mopping? Once a month, or when your feet make squelcy noises when walking on the kitchen floor.

LOL- read this and thought you were me!

Some things that men do, which drive me nuts:

    - Take the last biscuit/bag of crisps/bit of butter from the bottom of the carton and leave the bloody box/wrapper/packet on the side for muggins to put in the bin

    - Leave the bed sheets looking like a dog has rolled in them

    - Leave stinky clothes in heaps in random places (rather than in the washing basket) and then complain when they run out of socks/pants/trousers

    - Moan AT ME when they can't find something, because obviously I've gone and "hidden" it, rather than leaving it thrown down in whatever random place it was dropped

then read this and have decided you must be me!! and if Roz is a short version of your name then I am convinced you are me because Roz is nickname for me!!!

I have an incredibly untidy husband and 2 DD's who leave everything lying about. Seriously stresses me out, and I know it shouldn't but it does :( so sorry OP not much advice from me.

I'm guilty of this...and on purpose as well :o

Hubby has an annoying habit of coming in and dumping eveything on the worktop next to the kettle even if the place is spotless and it drives me mad!

Of course if I point it out to him I get 'I was just about to move it...' but if I believed that I wouldn't have said anything lol, so now what I do is stay silent and put it away in a cupboard and wait and see how long it is before he needs it. THEN I can say 'well you should have put it away yourself, shouldn't you :D:rotfl:

I can clean a whole house in 30 minutes. Just collect everything on the floor, and throw it into a designated room, then close the door of that room.

This works really well when kids/hubbies leave their stuff lying around. They can't find it, unless they go through all the junk. Just point them in the direction of the room. I refuse to wash shirts with cufflinks not take out, knickers still attached to jeans, trousers with money in the pockets. Smelly awful towels that have come back from swimming or the gym and not put in the dirty linen basket straight away.

I work full time and I refuse to be someone else's maid. :D:o
Forever I will sail towards the horizon with you

Lol, I do something like that. Sometimes I feel like a mega clean and get fed up with other peoples stuff everywhere, all my OH's stuff and the kids rubbish that should be in their rooms, gets put in huge piles in the middle of the lounge, so then they have to sort it out. :D

My 10 year old son is going through a baking phase, it's been cakes a lot lately! I got a bit fed up of the mess that I would have to clean up afterwards so when he made bread yesterday I made him wash all the dishes he'd used and clean the worktop, he said 'god mum, I don't know how you be a mum everyday'.
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D
  • I know just how you feel hun, I don't expect the house to be spotless with 2 young kids but my husband doesn't see things the way I do, we only live in a small 2 bed house now we used to live in quite a large 3 bed but i couldn't keep up with the house work, I work 8.30-6 I have to leave home at 7 to catch the bus and when I get home as you can imagine I just want to put my feet up but I come home to toys everywhere, kids clothes chucked about, dishes in the sink no sign of any t, kids still up and my husband has a go at me for being stressed!

I like that, it is so true, there are 4 of us in the house and they all seem to look at me as if I am the fairy house wife that will cook, clean and clear up after them like an obedient servent/butleress, give them an inch...:rotfl::rotfl:

In the last few days hubby has tried a new trick. I get up before him, and when he gets up he makes HIS side of the bed, leaving mine alone. Then he can act all smug and pretend that he's tidier than me...
