Have decided that a lot of the flying this week up until thursday will be a bit pointless as weve got workmen in doing the windows for the next 2 days, so hoovering and dusting etc will be off the list til then!
As I'm just reaching the end of having my bathroom done can I suggest that you concentrate on removing everything from their path (including pictures from walls) and packing it safely away. Do hoover... And Hoover, dust and damp wipe every day when they leave. It will make it more bearable. Oh, and I took down the curtains too... Otherwise they would be covered in grubby fingerprints and dust. Put out dispenser soap rather than a bar, and expect to have to deep clean the toilet and wash the hand towel daily.

    Or move out...

I know I'm a newbie and don't 'know' you all yet, but I just wanted to send my best wishes to Vanilla. I know I don't know the full situation but having been through major life changes in the last 18 months my mantra has been 'I'm strong and I will get through this'. And I have.

Today's things (will post full list later)

    Give blood
    Clean fridge
    Meal plan
    Food shopping

On a lighter note - It turns out that I haven't broken the ballcock in my loo, water board hadn't turned the water back on when they changed the to the meter! :rotfl:so that's why the cistern didn't refill with water! Feel a right wally! :o but at least they are no plumbers fees.

    Take care x

lol, i think i might do that! have already moved the ornaments etc from the windows so might be ok on that front. Im dreading going back home after work, god knows what I'll find! apparently they're doing the upstairs today and downstairs tomorrow...I'm just hoping my tea isnt going to be dusty tonight! :p

A picture to raise your spirits.

BoJo back on the streets of London so all will be well.

Meanwhile back in the land of dust and moths another room has been thoroughly gutted and cleaned.

Polly - hope Meg recovers soon

Cuppa then finishing the Hallway and doing the shower room. That will be it for today, on to hand sewing and ironing later.

Anyone make pork patties (burgers). I have a pork loin to mince up, onion herbs. No you think I should add some chopped bacon with fat as well to make them moist?

Vanilla - Im so sorry that he has let you down and dont ever blame yourself. I have been reading this thread for many months (probably years now) and have always been really impressed by your resilience and coping ability. I agree that life surely will get easier for you and your family x
