  • Monday - Sitting Room and Hallway
    Level One
    [STRIKE]
    Open the windows and turn on some music!
    [/STRIKE]
    Vacuum floors and sofas!
    [STRIKE]
    Declutter the chairs, floor and top of any cupboards!
    [/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]
    Vacuum under any furniture you can.. please don't injure yourselves!
    [/STRIKE]
    Sort out coats, shoes and bags
    Clean any ornaments, glass, mirrors, pictures etc
    Level Three
    Check those smoke alarms!
    Wipe sofas, paintwork and dusty places
    HHC in the hallway.. vacuum floors/stairs, wipe paintwork, fling that junk mail!.. if there is a charity shop bag.. FILL IT!
    Empty and wash out vacuum cleaner.. don't forget filters!

    Extras
    1. Catch up on some calls/emails
    2. Binbag dance
    3. Clean switches and sockets
    4. Wipe the windows in these areas

    Tuesday ~ Kitchen and Dining area
    Level One
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Clear and wipe worksurfaces

    [STRIKE]Clean the sink![/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    Wipe fronts of appliances and units
    Wipe small appliances and replace.. make sure the inside of microwave etc are sparkly and hygienic!
    Wipe table and replace cloth if needed
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe window sills[/STRIKE]
    Clean out the fridge thoroughly
    Wipe over oven and hob - soaking in flash!
    Extras
    1. Sort tea towels.. fling/donate (to pdsa/animal rescue /window cleaner) any that are shamefully manky!
    2. Replace dish cloths that are gross
    3. Descale kettles/irons/taps etc
    4. Empty and wash out bins!
    also emptied dw & put away.
    just going to brew up & do a bit more as dd2 still occupied :)

    Oh vanilla.. how awful for you.. it is like everything you do and have done is being thrown in your face.. but if he isnt prepared to help himself you cant do it for him.. and sometimes you have to face up to the fact you have given all you can and the how much more is fair on you or the children? Look after yourself and those munchkins.. and !!!!!!!! to the estate.. let them gossip.. you may well find you get support form the strangest of places. Huge hugs to you all xxxxx

  • If anyone saw Sky News in Croydon - I'm about a quarter to half a mile from the place that was alight. The little !!!!!!!s have gone into the next street to the house and looted all my local shops as well, by the sounds of it, including my beloved music shops.

    A bunch are riding around on specialist racing bikes at the moment outside. Roughly two grand apiece. And the bike shop will be out of business, I reckon. Almost all down this bit are sole traders and family businesses. Oh, for my old air rifle.
    I hope things have calmed down a bit. Stay safe. I don't think many of us are out of danger if you live in a large town :(
    It is the small businesses that will suffer, and have a knock on effect locally. Valli - it probably will increase insurance premiums (any excuse!), although they obviously won't be paying out anything, because they don't cover riots :mad::mad:

    Wednesday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One

    Clean floors in these rooms
    [STRIKE]Clean baths, toilets, don't forget the outside! and sinks.. shine the taps with a toothbrush[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Make sure smoke alarms are fully functional![/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    Clear any clutter from desk
    Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!!
    Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Wash your bathroom mats, nets, clean blind/curtains etc[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Scrub down tiles in bathroom[/STRIKE].. [STRIKE]defragment your pc[/STRIKE] while doing this.
    [STRIKE]Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins!
    Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required[/STRIKE]
    Collect all the dirty laundry
    Extra
    Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
    Fling all those empty bottles and tubes
    replace any sponges, flannels, toiletries that need it
    Start on those name tapes for back to school!!!

    Open the windows (if not peeing down!) and turn on some music!
    Sweep and mop the floor

    Cook dinner
    Vacuum sofas!
    Clean oven
    Wash dishes
    Declutter the chairs, floor and top of any cupboards!
    Stick washing on
    Level Two
    Fold cardboard for taking to recycling
    Clean any ornaments, glass, mirrors, pictures etc
    Wipe fronts of appliances and units
    Wipe small appliances and replace.. make sure the inside of microwave etc are sparkly and hygienic!
    Tackle the mess that is the kitchen table!

    Level Three
    Check those smoke alarms!
    Wipe paintwork and dusty places
    HHC in the hallway.. vacuum floors and stairs, wipe paintwork, fling that junk mail!.. if there is a charity shop bag.. FILL IT!

    Book holiday time for home visit in November (awaiting sister's next scan in September, she may have c-section, meaning can visit earlier)

    4. Send required documents to internet provider to have my name added to bill (can then get work to give me money for it )

    Start emptying boys room
    Beasts at KHs about 4ish.
    Sort coats etc under the stairs

    Wednesday

    Toys r us delivery.. then email them about compensation ;) .. should have been here ages ago!
    Collect Squeaks prescription
    More emptying of boys room

    Thursday

    Windows replaced.. 8am
    Sort girls clothes again
    Sort bedding
    Sort towels
    Price up new pillows for the 7 childrens beds and duvets for the 3 girls

    Friday

    Nail appt 9am
    Pay bills.. mortgage and loan.. :( *empties moths out of pockets*
    windows finished
    Pay window bill
    Sort fabric stash under the stairs.
    Build bookcase for boys room and fill it.. :D
    Boys opticians 3:15pm
