I looked into this offer earlier this week and after reading this message board I decided not to risk it. Have gone with BT 2MB instead for £25 per month and £50 cashback.

It's a tempting offer, the 12 month contract could be a problem but if it can be terminated by downloading day and night then it's not really a 12 month contract, is it?
TalkTalk claim there are no limits to downloads ('phone call today) , but .....?0 -
carphone warehouse has an offer instore only, of £15 month 1mb broadband unlimited downloads and free evening and weekend calls. This is for as long as you are with them.
You have to ask instore about it as its not advertised instore yet.

i have had every problem imaginable when migrating from pipex
had not internet for nearly 6 days
staff are very incompetent
and when i finally got connected it was 2 days before march and have rang up once again to complain but they wont honour the new deal with me
i think they might be one to avoid if things keep going this wayA penny saved is something else for the wife to spend !!!0 -
I signed up for 512k + free weeekend and evening landline calls @ £19.99 p/m just seven days before this new offer.
Rang CS and had a very strange and stilted conversation with the adviser on the phone. Baically he was hinting that I had to threaten cancellation before he could put me through to the right person to sort out my grievence.
".... are you telling me that you DO want TO CANCEL sir...."
They have now agreed to lower my monthly charge to £14.99, but I am yet to get any further with them re. also doubling the speed to match the new offer.
Just for the record...... my BB was up and running in a little over a week, though the phone has taken nearly three weeks. I guess the latter is down to BT however.0 -
I signed up to this Talk Talk Broadband unlimited 1mb service last week and have still not received a modem. Anyone received a modem from them? If so how long did it take to arrive?0
