Not sure what you mean my NFC?
Basically a cashless way of buying things in shops by just waving your phone over the cash machine, not much use for it yet but if you intend keeping the phone over 12 months it may of taken off by then and credit cards could become a thing of the past.
I think Nokia are also already using it for connectivitiy instead of bluetooth over short distances.0 -
Same choice for me, went for the galaxy and in general it is excellent BUT
Poor battery life and trying to work the voice commands is a nightmare, no support from Samsung UK.
However overall I still love the phone, hope that helps

battery life improves after a few charging cycles and also with caliberation techniques. Mine imporved on my desire after using those techniques. The biggest drain is poor signal strength which drains the battery quickly.
The are two types of voice commands apps available on the sgs2, each works differently. see videos or reviews on how to use those apps. Just by a cursory use of my work colleagues sgs2 i could use it easily, but i have used the voice commands on my desire, so probably it was easy for me. Just use the google voice commands app and it works easily. on google just type voice commands on android and see the videos that pop up and you will be good to go. But there is vlingo app available on the android m,arket for free which is good too and sgs2 comes with another voice commands app. see videos available on the net to use these voice commands apps better.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

Not with the S2, or at least not in my experience though my desire did improve after a few charge cycles. The single biggest improvement on my S2 came from installing juicedefender. Where I would struggle to get 9/10 hours from the battery I now take it off charge at 6am and don't have to recharge the phone until 11/12pm. I'm a fairly heavy user of the phone too, if I don't use it much (i.e weekends) it'll last well over 24 hours - great for a newer android smartphone0 -
Well after waiting what seemed like an eternity for my contract with Vodafone to end, I have now switched to giffgaff and although I have been with them for less than a week, things seem to be moving along smoothly.
So after looking at all the suggestions that everyone left on my post a couple of months ago, I have finally decided to go with the Samsung S2. And now that my 0% credit card will shortly be winging its way, will be looking at buying a new handset.
The best deal I can see is Amazon, though the price seems to be going up and down, yo-yo style! I have also found a reasonably priced refurbished handset, on this site http://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/Samsung/Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-Refurbished/SIM-Free/SIM-Free/11237200.
But before I splash out £400 wondered if anyone has ever bought a refurbished handset? And what if anything would the downside be of buying one?
Thanks.£400+ in my £2 coin tablet fund0 -
Personally I don't like samsung, they might be good for some hardware features, but it still be samsunggood things happened..0

Have you seen the new Motorola Razr0

I can't see any problems with buying a refurb but check where your stand with regards to the warranty (Samsung gives 2 years as standard)
And yes, the new Razr looks extremely nice, not quite enough spec-wise to make me ditch my S2, however if I were in the market for a phone right now, I'd definitely be all over the Razr. I think it was supposed to be available from today but it looks like it's not! Might be worth waiting a few weeks and having a look round the shops to give it a try.Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
Its available on Pre-order with Vodafone, Orange & T-Mobile. Vodafone are stating that it is expected today. Not sure about SIM Only though.
I had my Desire through BMP os a 'Refurb' not had a days issue with it.0 -
I've just checked on Amazon... Sim-free razr on preorder, due for release on 11 November £475 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Motorola-RAZR-Free-Smart-Phone/dp/B005PTZT6Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320142060&sr=8-1Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0
