..... but the Police weren't, so what makes you think you'll get off with it in court and not just get slapped with a more severe penalty?

    My question is this:
if I had gone through a red light and been flashed by camera I would have the option of a driving course where I wouldnt get any points on my license, can i request this course at court?

I can't find a link on this but iirc one of the key requisites of a course (and to be fair I thought they were only for SP30's rather than any other offence) is that you can't already have points on your licence nor have attended a SAC in the past 3 years.

TBH I think you're clutching at straws here

He'll only get costs if convicted as he was offered a FPN.

Sorry, where does it say amber means speed through light or am I missing something
It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun

Costs are surely going to be quite a lot and he's pretty much guaranteed to be convicted though?

    I've seen them be £10.

Who knows if he'll be convicted without seeing the evidence against him.
  • I havnt yet seen the tape i need to request it, not sure how but il find out.
The police officer was at the other lights he said his lights had turned green as I went past which means mine must have been on red.
I have 3 points on my license, but my job requires I have no more than 3.
I have just found the website about these courses which doenst say they can only be issued by camera only which is what I was told at the station. So I have emailed them.
    Thank you for your replies.
