Can I just add that it goes without saying that I would send something via trackable post. I'm not that dim!
If you sent it tuesday thats 4 days now, how long would you give it before it is officially lost? Can you make another one in time if it is?0 -

I take it then that is was not sent on tuesday, probably thursday by the sound of things.
When I first read the OP I thought she was just a typical panicky bride to be but I think I understand her concerns now.0 -

If you are "not that dim" why can't you just use the trackable option to find out where the dress is? surely that would save the OP loads of hassle and stress!0 -

in good time, or on time? you don't seem to be apologetic to the OP at all.0 -

Agreed as surely a Wedding Dress is 'valuable' to the purchaser, likewise you can only claim up to £46 with Recorded Delivery.
Really hope this gets solved for both parties.2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -
I hate to point out, but you can't track recorded items.
All recorded does is get a signature at the receivers end which you can view online plus it only covers for £46 compensation also, if the item gets lost or damaged on route.

Special delivery, however, will give out compensation of £500, and the item can be tracked online. This method should be used if sending anything over the value of £46.
Fingers crossed, the dress will be with the OP real soon!
