  • Just booked online got my three night holiday at Tummel Valley for our September weekend.

The european parks do not let you book online which is a let down so will have to send application away now to book Holland.

Many, many thanks to both you and your wife. There was a problem with the printers or something and no Sun's were delivered to our newsagent. I've been able to book my holiday both where AND when I wanted.:T
  • There seems a huge difference in price to Italy between Sun & Keycamp - are they quotes for the same thing ? Do both include ferry Xing etc

No,the quote with keycamp doesnt include any travel its just the accomodation too, like the sun quote :D

    :T

It just appears that you get better bargain by booking a park outside of the UK

We are planning to go to France in May for the first time...so have not any idea about the total cost.Would you recommend taking this offer? How much is average cost for 2adults for a 5-7day trip?

I can only speak for my family and our experience when we went last year to France using the sun offer in October

    2 adults
    2 children

    we paid :

    £38 accom ( £9.50 x 4 people)
    £ 14 insurance waiver
    £ 4.95 x 3 nights service charge = £14.85

    Total = £ 66.85

I cannot remember how much exactly we should have paid with Keycamp if we booked direct with them ,but I know we saved at least £100

We then booked a return ferry for £54 !

Bear in mind you would still have to pay £38 for accom even though there are only 2 of you.

If you book with the Sun they give you the option to extend the holiday by however many days you want to.

Why not look on keycamp and get a quote and see how much you will save ? :)

    HTH

    :)

Driving in france was fine ( my hubby drove ;) ) i was navigator :rotfl:

we ended up buying a 15 euro map as we got lost :rotfl:

BUT in my defence the route planner we had printed out were wrong !! we used https://www.theaa.com

but ive since been told that in france sometimes they add a junction to a motorway etc and yet it doesnt appear on maps / route planners !!

so something to be aware of!

once we bought the map we were off and away lol :)

the actual roads / motorways were fine and hubby felt comfortable driving there :)

the only sites i used were the keycamp site, and to get general info i used https://www.thedibb.co.uk ( we were staying near to disneyland paris !) and https://www.holidayforums.co.uk and https://www.tripadvisor.com which are good general sites for any holiday Qs / tips etc :)

    :)
