Apoplogies...I've just posted this on another pre-exisiting £9.50 holidays thread, so sorry if that causes confusion!

As the Sun have their £9.50 hols on offer again, wondered if people could answer a couple of questions... (have often considered doing these deals, but never yet gone through with it!)

    1. We'd ideally like to take our dog. I've read the bit saying "Pets are NOT permitted for bookings at any of the parks in this offer. If your park and specific holiday home is able to accept pets this will be shown on your confirmation and payment for pets should be made direct to your holiday park". Wondered if other people have taken dogs and if so, whether there are particular parks to ask for, or how best to find out which ones to go for??

    2. We'll also have a little bubba by the time the holiday comes, so wondering how to put the sprog on the booking form (seeing as they stipulate "absolutely no amendments whatsoever can be made" and we don't know the sex of the baby yet, let alone what his/her name will be!)

Would be grateful for other people's experiences/advice...

you dont get a token with the priority booking form,it just means you need one less ( ie 6 not 7) so can send the form off a day earlier than everyone else :)

the earliest you can send off if you dont have a booking form is friday ie
    tokens from 1) sat 2) sun 3) mon 4) tues 5) wed 6 ) thurs 7)fri

so you must have 2 tokens the same number ???

as far i as know it has to be 7 DIFFERENTLY numbered tokens, ie one every day for 7 days ( or 6 if dont have the form)

HTH and i havent confuddled you further ?!

We were thinking of going to Italy anyway at the end of May on a camp in the venetian riviera then I found the Sun were doing their £9.50 holidays there. The camps look very big..are they ok? Not too bothered about loads of entertainment, my kids are a bit far apart in age for that and aren't over bothered about it. Only ever been to a Eurocamp/Keycamp once before, years ago in France. Have read one or two iffy reports about Ca Savio though we had friends who went out of season and liked it..has anyone been to any of the camps? Never done a Sun holiday before and am worried about tying in a flight and the holiday but on the other hand don't know if I can bring myself to ignore the offer! I have 3 kids, 16,14 and 9 so holidays aren't cheap anyway anymore, though I normally book independantly and do quite well in a villa/apartment! Not many of those about near Venice though which is why I looked at the Eurocamps etc ...and they are a step up from our camping holidays in England in our own tent!
  • hi, has anyone done a sun hol to the site in holland(duinrell)? if so whats it like? ta.

Some parks don't take dogs full stop, but all Haven sites will (at the managers discretion) although it may mean you don't get a high spec accomodation. Choose your site carefully - make sure it's a Haven site, and as long as your dog isn't a DDA listed breed, you should be OK, when you receive your confirmation from the Sun, phone your park to pay for the extras and tell them you'll be bringing your dog. Last year I booked to go to Mersea Island, and just asked 'if it was OK to bring the dogs' and they didn't even charge me!
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

I've never been to the Italian ones sorry ,like you we have only done a french one (keycamp)

ive just had a look and done a quote for you on keycamp at Ca Savio

    sleeps 6
4 nights break from may 25th

    cheapest is £369 !!

the sun will cost you :

    £9.50 x 5 (you have a partner ? ) = £47.50
    insurance waiver = £14
    passes etc £4.95 x 4 nights = £19.80

    Total = £81.30 :T

(thats without any upgrades you might want / bedding etc )

so its a great saving

I am thinking of doing one of the spanish ones next year, getting flights to Barcelona , hiring a car and drving to the site for 4 nights.
then having a few nights in Barcelona before getting flight home again :)
  • i got all others, just lost my saturday 1. thanks
