It's hard to see who needs a house like that - someone with a vast inferiority complex, maybe? Perhaps because it's empty, it seems vast and echoing, not a home at all really, but somewhere to impress your friends with.

Just at the moment, I am thinking about down-sizing, so that place is anathema to me.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I always think that. While I would love to be able to afford somewhere bigger than I live now, I can't imagine wanting to live somewhere that big. Perhaps it's because I've only ever known small houses that I'd feel totally uncomfortable somewhere that big. Can definitely understand when lottery winners live somewhere modest despite being able to afford something sprawling. That house has lovely decor though.

I love the estate agent's directions to the property - "past the fish and chip shop...park where you can".

The house must belong to either and Indian or Muslim family. Muslims don't use TP - they use these hoses instead. I think Indian people often do similar. Bit different from most of us in the UK, but I guess it's only natural that their houses are set up in this way, it's very common in Muslim countries, I've seen it in the Middle East and Tunisia in hotel rooms and airports.

It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.
