I suspect it's because they believe it makes their d!cor superior to all us mere mortals that have colour filled abodes.

I've seen enough monstrously colourful properties on rightmove to put me off it for life!

Seriously though, there's good colourful and bad colourful. Personally I find colour can be very oppressive.

There does seem to be a glut of houses on here lately which are almost exclusively black in their fixtures, fittings, furniture and decor, but we're all different I suppose!

    What the heck is wrong with the word 'd e c o r' ?

I've noticed before that MSE's swear filter doesn't like it, but I've checked and there's no clue in my dictionary. Is there an underground meaning I've been blissfully unaware of?

    If so...d!cor, d!cor d!cor, d!cor.... DECOR!!!!

There, I've said it in public now, and I don't care if you're all offended!!! :rotfl:

Come on. You know it's not the swear filter. It's not being able to deal with an e acute.

    Dear HaveALookAtThis'ers,

I have a confession. I have now used this thread to inspire a weekend away!! I think perhaps I spend too long here...

But, to tell the story. I totally loved the pictures of that castle the other day, and mentioned to my husband that Weymouth looked beautiful. Fast forward a few weeks, and we are just back from a weekend in Dorset, including today in Weymouth. And, I admit, we went to have a look at the house like silly tourists! I wasn't rude enough to ask to go in, but the location really looks lovely. It's in a residential street, and slightly out of place to be honest, but still lovely.

So thank you whoever posted it. And the Devon area also thanks you for a few hundred quid injected into the local economy!

As I walked past one of the small windows to the top of the tower was open, and I admit thinking 'ohh, I can almost see that amazing skylight!'

Time to get a new hobby methinks. :rotfl:

This house has an interesting layout that does away with hallways and lays stairs right at the entrance.

    I personally like it.

From experience, these agents have always been dozy. They're just following their usual sausage-machine approach by putting the front view first. ;)

Picture 8 reminds me of a murder/crime scene with that tape round that murky swimming pool!
