I would imagine that was a pretty expensive design statement considering they can't even afford wardrobes for the bedrooms (pics 9 and 12)....

Gosh I'd hate that if I'd a glass or two. Looks good but isn't practical if a kid came along etc.

Or is it that even flat pack wardrobes would be tricky to get up the lovely staircase?!

A bedroom with no window to the outside is also a large drawback, but then the whole place has been enlarged on the cheap. I'd rather have a proper pitched roof than a hot tub!
