Don't understand why - pleasant house, bit dated admittedly, but I guess it may be a bit overpriced

Why spend so much time and effort on the inside and not even give the front a lick of paint - have they never heard of kerb appeal??0 -

I remember once seeing a property featured in one of the interiors magazines - it was a lovely period house in a not-so-nice area. The owners had spent a small fortune redesigning the interior space and it was crammed full of antiques and high-end fixtures, but from the outside it looked like a complete wreck........peeling paint, tatty finishes. Their reason being they didn't want their house to stand out and to attract the attention of burglars - although once featured in the mag for all to see, all hope of that would surely have gone out the windowMortgage-free for fourteen years!

Never ceases to amaze me that people would ask you to part with 1/4 of a million pounds, but can't be ar5ed to spend a fiver on a kitchen plinth from B&Q (pic 5), and a tenner on some secateurs (pics 1 and 9) !
