Buying a probate property probably means a good price, a seller who just wants it sold, no chain problem and a chance to make your it your own.
No point in paying a premium for one that has been "flipped" for you.
It is amazing how even a few simple changes to the garden can make somewhere feel different. I suppose a garden requires the investment of time and care and then grows up as "your" garden.
However I know what you mean "25 Cromwell Street" was probably best demolished.
I wouldn't rule out a probate sale at all. I've viewed a couple of houses where I didn't like the alterations e.g. a bungalow with the loft space converted into two bedrooms. I would prefer not to have sloping ceilings, doors into the eaves and a narrow, steep staircase. Maybe its the odd dimensions and gloominess that give me the feeling of "something isn't quite right". I'll be moving from a bright and airy house that has been a happy family home for many years to somewhere smaller so it may take me a while to turn it into my home.0 -
If you left the equipment in place, this house has the potential to save you and your family literally mouthfuls of money over the years ...
Blimey, if the house is that untidy, what sort of a mess would your teeth be left in....
I deliver magazines around my local village, and two houses were formerly dentists that I had teeth removed in over 30 years ago ......... I'm reminded of it every time I walk to their front doors. I wouldn't want to live in either of those.Make £2025 in 2025

I think it's rather cute.
But it seems to be at the top end of the price range for 1 beds in the area which for me is too much. Personally I'm not happy with a bathroom on a different level to the bedroom and would be looking for such properties to sell at a discount.

I've seen worse garage conversions tbh. There's lots of them in the west country because housing is sooooo expensive compared to wagesThey deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
