With this one there are quite a few... but when I look at picture 5, I find myself asking, "Did they both use Brylcreem?"

Then I look again and wonder, "And was there an occasional visitor?" ;)

    Would you buy this:

No, not the clutter, the layout - never seen anything so impractical

And the price! You can buy a "proper" 2 bed for that money in that location

Picture 7 has interesting things in the eaves. Looks like the owner is one of those battle re-enactment types. Unless the arrows, sword, joust and round head helmet are original features

Sorry not very good at doing Rightmove links so have borrowed this post to try and link you up again.

Well just to let you know, I did a "drive-by" today.

It's a nice enough location but - it's on a fairly busy road on the one way system and smack bang on a very sharp bend, so access could be an issue. That plus the likelihood that it is listed means I think I'll pass on this one.

There will be another one out there somewhere with my name on it. There's always a wreck that needs rescuing.:D

If I have time one weekend I may have a viewing as I'm curious about the whole thing. Well done for driving by though

I can't say I'm all that thrilled with the layout of the place. What a stupid place to put a back door........

Presumably the floor plan is something of a product of a fevered imagination - does not relate well to the fish eyed photos.

Good trick for making cramped bedrooms look bigger - take the beds out?

As both the rear rooms are bedrooms, presumably back doors can only come out of the two bedrooms?

Check street view for for a lovely full length picture of the pylon, it is a fully grown up "daddy bear" version.

The pylon line runs all along this row of houses, most of them seem to have benefited from a massively long back garden BUT seemingly not this one as there is some sort of small holding/allotment across the back of this property and the one to its left.

So check the "deeds" carefully for boundary disputes and the rights of the electricity company. Beware of the neighbour parking next to your car in such a way that your only entry would be via the sunshine roof.

In my hall I have a LED light that won't turn off completely - apparently that is an induced current because it is on a two way switch,
(ie there is a length of wire lying along side another length of wire and the electrical effect radiating from one wire to the other is enough to create a current in the turned off wire)

Perhaps there is enough induced current in the back garden to light a barbecue. [They do say that sleeping with your head near the electricity meter, especially if your is the last house on the network, is not advisable, but it is probably trivial compared to using a mobile phone.]

...and they're trying to SELL that house:eek:

They'd have to pay me to take it off their hands. Come to think of it, they wouldnt even be able to do that. I wouldnt want to take the risk of even using it to rent out, in case I had a solicitors letter from tenants at some point suing me for health problems suffered as a result of living that close to a pylon.

The game definitely wouldnt be worth the candle on that one.

It is a shame this one is no longer available. A grand house at an affordable price (Though not suitable for the larger sized of those amongst us.)

Come on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.

Surely the hint is "standing within generous sized gardens & grounds"? Demolish and build a 5-bed "executive" home?

I had another look and wondered why there were no pictures of the huge garden and views over beautiful countryside. I also noted the trees are in leaf.

When I looked at it, I thought this looks like a well preserved lorry drivers' cafe.

Now that I have found it, I realise I was not far wrong: Heading south on the main road, it is one of a pair built just south of a large lay-by, next to some sort of transport/car storage yard, tastefully hidden behind a huge leylandii hedge and a fence of green painted corrugated iron.

A very unlikely scenario! John has it right.

I've been there, to see a small farm close by.

There is a very close neighbour and the position is particularly noisy, being at the top of an incline on a fast stretch of road.

Anyway there's already a surfeit of "execootive" houses locally, especially in and around Lampeter, which is a far more convenient place to buy one. :)
