    Hi Strapped

It's on with two agents. One says it has 3 bedrooms and that it is listed. The other says it has 5/6 bedrooms and has no mention of it being listed.

Well we know that agent one has got the wrong number of bedrooms. I wonder which one is right about it's listed status.

    The plot thickens....

As some others have put "dream houses" on this thread, this is the single most expensive place on the market within 40 miles of me (using rightmove)
    I really don't like pic 14 though :|

What does £15M get for you?

    EDIT: This is also £15M

Well judging by the interiors it certainly doesn't necessarily buy good taste.

The first house is a tad too much "footballers wives" for my liking and the second one is just a hotch potch.

Shame because both houses are lovely from the outside.

Still I suppose if you can afford the house in the first place then you can afford a good designer or decorator.:D

Thanks for the reply, but I feel I interrupted you (sorry!). That 5/6 bed place in Belper ... go view it. Stop talking about, and just do it. I saw it earlier today, and then again in the reposted link with the listed status. Awesome property, either way ... and if you wait, and wait, and wait ... it'll be gone. Go have a look around it, it looks fab and might have massive potential. If it doesn't ... you've lost nothing.

Of course you didn't interrupt me.

It's nice to get feedback from others because whilst part of me really likes the look of it, there's a more sensible part of me that thinks with my head and says "Are you nuts!!!":rotfl::rotfl:

But yes I will take a look.

  • I find it bizarre that the gated community of St Georges Hill was where this interlude in history was enacted:

Errrmm...is this trick question of the day...or do we say the obvious, ie "It aint detached". But then estate agents do seem to be rather notorious for describing a property as "one rung up the ladder" as a house type to what it actually is, so that particular "mistake" isnt that unusual.

Second thing - not a bad house for a semi-detached and wonder what the garden is like.

Most of it is under the kitchen ?

Oh, I thought mkgirl1981 was referring to the external staircase.

I liked the agent's description of the house as "remarkable", possibly an ambiguous comment? Anyway, I think it's soulless and hideous!
