"Point taken re those modern day requirements aka money laundering checks - but I would have thought they could take photocopies of them and not photographs."

Curiously enough, the estate agent had a camera with him when he went round, but somehow or other he must have forgotten to bring his photocopier.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
  • I expect the estate agents have phones/email facilities though - to contact the vendor and arrange with them when they can bring these into the office if need be to have them photocopied there.:rotfl:

OK, so the master bathroom is bigger than my whole upstairs :rotfl:.

The white is right. But pic 10 - In a 1 acre bathroom why not move the bath somewhere else? I wouldn't feel happy having a bath with that chandelier right over my head, Rodney.

So the photo has been removed from Rightmove. I'd love to be a fly on the wall.

When we sold a property recently, the agent listed our home postcode so any maps / street view showed our house rather that the sale property. The property for sale did not come up in searches for the correct area for a couple of days. It wasn't the only mistake they made, but we did get a buyer quite quickly despite that.

The estate agents have a duty to carry out money laundering checks if they are giving financial advice. So, there's nothing sinister in them having photographed the bank statement. They probably photographed a utility bill, too.

Of course, it was damn stoopid of them to upload the info to the www, but clearly done inadvertently.

Not sure about the money laundering thing. I get your point, but surely the IFA is a different person to the agent anyway, so you would visit the branch with your statements, not have a colleague go around photographing them at the house.
