Hi, I just didn't cancel my Rightmove alerts.
ATM we're just seeking PP for a major refurb. We gained PP for a larger one last year, then had second thoughts about spending so much.
Although this is it for the foreseeable, there's no harm in being prepared!
Not a lot of snow here, but we can walk to where the food is, and there's several weeks' supply of meat in the freezer, not to mention 42 tasty looking woolly things in the field! :rotfl:0 -

To cover up hideous emerald green tiles, like ours?
Maybe their aim is good, or they are all ladies?
But being a doddering old twit who likes a drink, I agree, I'd have it out!0 -
Can any Welsh posters explain how on earth you pronounce Eglwyswrw??!0

I referred to it infrequently, but when forced, I'd say "Egg-lew-is-or-o." No idea if that's right!I'm only fractionally Welsh and I don't speak it.
I suppose locals usually know what we 'Sais' mean. The residents of Rhiwbina near Cardiff get used to us calling it, "Ribena." :rotfl:
Eglwys means 'church.' Rhiw as a common noun is 'hill' and pronounced "ruth" (I think.)0 -

I know this because either a) I'm a brilliant linguist, b) I'm fluent in Welsh, or c) I looked here
You decide :rotfl:
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -
This was good fun but I'm not sure I got them all: pic 5 - 2 spaniels on sofa; pic 6 - potential cat on worktop but not 100% sure as can't see a head; pic 7 - 1 lab and 2 spaniels; pic 12 - spaniel; pic 14 - chickens, ducks and geese; pic 15 - is that a dog up the path??
Do I get a prize?MFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -

The prize of a Welsh pronounciation lesson has already gone, but I can confirm that it is a cat on the worktop. I can see part of its head and one ear.
As for the 'thing' on the path, well, every countryman knows there are sitings of strange beasts in wildish areas of the UK, or even some close to town.....
Google 'Beast of Brassknocker Hill!'
Edit. I didn't do too badly then, Stumpy!0
