I wonder how much it would take to do it up?
Wonderful location (apart from the hotels, apartments that have sprung up). Ah, those childhood memories!
Is this a repossession ? A holiday let venture that has gone belly up?
Owner occupiers don't drain off the plumbing system, even in the winter, they leave the heating on very low.0 -

And according to this comment from B.I.T.E. it was much the same on Christmas day.
I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. (pun intended)

Sat Nav: 51.997963,-2.153706
Off the north end of High Street.

BASS Draught Bass (H)
GUEST BEER Three Guest Ales (H)
Lively, friendly pub: one L-shaped bar
with a pool table one end and a
dartboard at the other. Family-run, it
serves the best value pint in town from
an ever-changing beer list, plus local
ciders. Close to Tewkesbury Marina, it
is popular with boaters. It fields crib,
darts, pool and skittles teams. The
White Bear reopened in December 2007
after a complete renovation following
the infamous floods of July. Before 2005
the White Bear was the home of CAMRA's
Tewkesbury winter ale festival.

How is a cliff top facing into the Atlantic, with only skyscrapers in New York as a shelter belt, a wonderful location?
I'll bet those childhood memories were forged mainly in the summer months, and as we all know, back in those days it was always hot and sunny!
The south coast of Devon or Cornwall, especially in the lee of a headland(and not too near the edge!) might be different.
I spent many a happy day on the beaches and clifftops there. And yes, it was always very hot, sunny with not a cloud in the sky and it never rained. Winters of course were similar only it got dark earlier.
Then I grew up.
Which is why I'm looking in the areas you suggest.0 -

Am I right in thinking that the notorious Bournemouth surf reed does not work and the firm that built it has conveniently gone into liquidation?0 -

:ACome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0
