Actually, about two months ago I viewed a house that had a sauna-not in a bathroom, but a stand-alone room with a separate shower. I liked the house but thought the sauna was a negative feature as I don't use them much at my gym, worry about the cost and maintenance. Kept thinking about what could I do with a long, narrow, wood-lined room with a shower at the entrance?
    Any suggestions?

I have a sauna in my bathroom. Absolutely priceless when you come home from work on a cold, wet, winter night.

Maintaince costs for the past 2.5 years = £0 and running costs <£1 per use.

this flat I'm including because the thing they aren't telling you as to why it's up for immediate purchase is because the building is currently missing all the windows you can see on the left hand side of the main picture - council came and took them away the day before the price was dropped - hassle free investment I don't think

I like the nice blue child toilet seat hanging above the loo...great feature - space saving though!

Yes! I finally have a property to add to this thread. Check this out, not only is it hideous throughout, but check out the weird loft room above the double garage. Its got a shower cubicle randomly placed in the centre of it, and a wash basin.

    http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-24769791.html

I would have said that it's a house that literally hasn't had a penny spent on it since the 1970's - except for the fact that someone has made a bodge job of turning the loft into a sort of bathroom/sort of "who knows what" room.

I'd hazard a guess that it's a house in multiple occupation by several strangers or maybe even rather a LOT of strangers ...ahem...(not yer "normal" house-sharing type arrangement of several friends either).

Wouldn't touch with a bargepole unless I was a developer and could get it at a VERY good price and even then I'd be checking to see if there were any similarly-occupied houses in the same road and that would put me off - as I'd never get a "standard" household to rent it. I'd also want to look inside the garages - in case of "unofficial" unmentioned accommodation there.

When I first looked at this I thought you were referring to the man with a pointy nose and black hat in the fireplace. :o

Perhaps I should just go back to lurking and not admit to such things.:(

My goodness, you're right-well spotted! I was so busy looking for the 3-D image that I didn't look at the fireplace.
