    You know I think that is actually quite sensible. It minimises risk of knocking pans off onto yourself and makes better use of a corner that I would pile detritus into.

    I’m guessing you don’t actually cook?

    I do and I used to do in a kitchen with very much that layout albeit smaller. The hob was to the left of where that one is. The corner was almost wasted space as you had to reach into a corner to get to it, and the hob took up most of what was left!

    IMHO - and made a right dogs dinner of it - failing to see where the 'fantastic blend of period character..." is.? Looks like they've 'modernised' any period character it had to oblivion :(

    That brown & orange carpet seems to pop up repeatedly! We had it somewhere, and I think it ended up in the loft at our old house, covering the 2" thick insulation that was used in the days of fuel profligacy.


    You certainly couldn't kill it by just walking on it.
