Is that a giant moth on the cabinet in picture 6? There seems to be tree roots growing from the living room ceiling...

Would be a lot more charming if the neighbours hadn't rendered or pebbledashed theirs.
Big brass eyeball spots in the panelled ceiling aren't exactly period either.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Good grief! Pic 2 took me by surprise! :eek:0 -

Straight away I recognised it as ex RAF Officers' Married Quarters. My father was stationed there years ago.0 -

I'm more used to such things in a living room or dining room, but decorative plates on the wall isn't unusual is it? My grandma had a set with horses on which I loved as a child - I have them now, since she had to move to a care home and her house was sold. I shall have to think about putting them up once I get my own place.0 -
I presume it is effective but the child gate in pic 3 amused me.

My parents had two units - they cost £2k each in 1979 and when they downsized found two smaller ones in the charity furniture shop for £75 each.
Looks like G-Plan to me too. My mother still has a dining room suite with those handles. It must have been bought around 1980.0
