Bet there are some lovely rooms underneath all those layers of genteel grime...
The gas fire in pic 4 looks like it could be pre-war, impressive if it's still in working order after all these years.0 -

My EA claims his busiest time of year is the weekend after Christmas, because people looking to move get through the festivities and then sit down on the 26th and go 'right, what's next?'. I was fortunate enough to get an acceptable offer on mine a week ago (fingers crossed we manage to get it to completion!), but if I hadn't I would now be busy scrubbing the place up, ready for the horde of viewers he expected on the weekend.

Thanks Dandie!
Here is a little bit of eye candy in honour of the day. One of those houses which would be far too big for me even if I could afford it, but I just love admiring it from afar:

We did that with our first house, just before going on holiday for a few days, came back, and a viewer had put in an acceptable offer already. So we sold to them.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Have you got the business acumen or good fortune to have amassed £850,000?
Have you got a desire to live in a house that looks like an office unit on an out-of-town light industrial estate?
Then I've got the perfect property for you!
