First impression of that house "It looks so poor" and I realised I was thinking that the second I spotted those (non-existent) curtains in the sitting room. I'd be viewing that thinking "What else has been skimped on?"

Just goes to show you don't know what a difference curtains make - until they're missing.

Well, they brought plumbing, and it's still hard to get a good plumber, so I suppose you're right.


And for those who are sceptical about a country losing its technology like that, just look at the USA. Apparently, NASA forgot how to go to the Moon.

Not just technology that can get "lost" temporarily from a country....

Have you seen any of the YouTube videos of some countries in the world from the 1960s/1970s and there are a lot of women walking freely down the street dressed normally (eg Afghanistan and Iran).

Followed by ones taken in the last few years of rather less women walking down the street and dressed in headsquares (or worse) and one wonders how long it will be before the women can dress/live normally again....:(

I wasn't expecting the multi-gym. The overall "ambience" didn't suggest an enthusiastic multi-gym user.

I think the owner should have expended their energy sorting out the "garden" rather than use the multi-gym
