It always makes me feel sad looking at the remains of someone's home after they have passed. The house is being cleared and peoples lives are laid bare. It has been listed before they've even emptied it.
Such as the coat hangers discarded on the bed but toiletries still on the dressing table, the fridge emptied and left open but tea and coffee canisters left , the picture hooks still in the walls?0 -

I know, when we have looked at houses in the past my DH hated going round houses like those for that reason and we never bought one!0 -

I'm sure I won't care what happens to my stuff when I'm gone. Similarly, I've left houses without worrying what people will choose to do with them next. Even children aren't ours to keep for long.
That's why I grow trees. Perhaps something I've done will be brightening the landscape long after people say, "Dave who? Don't remember him!":rotfl:0 -
I don't know why but I sort of love the bathroom in this. There's this great sense of optimism somehow.

The side of the shower tray, in picture 16, looks nearly the same height as the side of a bath https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-57706932.html0

Others look like this:
According to one manufacturer, "A Steam bathroom can operate at a maximum temperature of 50 degrees Celsius, and you may enter it partially covered with a silk or a cotton cloth (Pesthemal), wearing wooden clogs (Nalin) and holding a peeling glove (Kese) in your hand. Depending on the requirements of the investor....."
It's not clear what might be peeled, but I don't fancy it myself.0 -

I've got the original front door and internal doors on my house.
I've also got a number of Victorian internal doors free to a good home (from my neighbours and from skips) if you (or anyone) is interested, and don't mind a bit of paint stripping!0 -
