if you like wood panels
pic 3: can't work out what this is, some sort of reception desk?
The bathroom (Pic9) looks like a 'dirty' protest. :eek:0 -

I think I'll save picture six as a prime example of why I chose a Shark cordless vacuum over a Dyson!!Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

The kitchen is just weird - look at how that drawer doesn't occupy the whole space it should.
The bathroom is minging.
I do like how the garden and workshop are on the floorplan. I wholeheartedly applaud this. There are lots of listings that claim "generous" gardens which are, frankly, nothing of the sort.0 -
Probably. We never had any. My Dad was a Formica and perforated hardboard man.
Ten years of inhaling Evo-Stick prepared me rather well for the summers of peace and love.
I grew up with Fablon covered tables and Laconite panels on bathroom and kitchen wallsIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
That sort of drinks bar was trendy c1970. My children assure me that the tiled coffee table, also trendy c1970, is not retro but just plain old fashioned.
PS surely Davesnave is wrong. Definitely Blue Nun but the other drink to go with that bar is almost certainly Liebfraumuck. Though Mateus Rose is also a distinct possibility.
That's a particularly posh example of that sort of coffee table.
My late 1st husband & I 'liberated' a similar shaped table from a junk room in college in 1970. Being skint, but aspirational;) we covered the damaged formica top with alternate brown and beige glazed tiles. Had that coffee table for 25 years. Made a perfect showcase for our first purchase together

which I'm still using today:TDoh! I forgot good old Mateus Rose. No student room was complete without an empty bottle with a candle stuck in the top. They were especially useful during the Three Day Week, when the leccy would go off at inconvenient moments, like on the night before a dissertation needed handing-in.
What those naughty miners put us hard-working students through, eh?
Candle in a Mateus bottle? Chianti surely. The raffia caught the melting wax perfectly and saved our precious coffee table:rotfl:0 -
Chianti was for posh folk. Them as started going to Spain when package holidays were still a new idea. Mateus for the aspiring upwardly mobile and Liebfraumuck and blue nun for the aspiring but not quite sure how to do it. May heaven forgive me, I even used to drink lager and lime. But it was crap lager and not the nice Czech stuff that my older and wiser self now prefers.0

They still sell Fablon.
My parents were also fond of those (inflammable) ceiling tiles in the 70s.0
