Purple haze, all in my brain
Lately things they don't seem the same
Actin' funny, but I don't know why
Excuse me while I kiss the sky

with apologies to the late James Marshall Hendrix

I remember the arguments when rather uncool potato bashers at my school insisted the last line read: "S'cuse me while I kiss this guy..." They probably liked the Dave Clark 5.

Psychedelia hadn't imade much headway in Devon in '67, where 'actin' funny,' especially in that way, was not encouraged or excusable, unless perhaps generated by quaffing copious amounts of beer after a rugby match.;)

A friend and I got ahead of the curve and attended a 'happening' at Haytor Rocks that summer. I remember feeling embarrassed at my outfit and rather unwell. A plane flew over, dropping flowers on us.....

(No sign of me or the plane.:()

Mews house? They would have had a job getting the horse and carriage up those steps!

Do they even know what 'mews' means?

Like buses, you wait ages and then two come along together.

Bet they had to think hard before deciding which agent to go with.....

TBH I'm actually really disappointed that the decor inside is relatively normal. I was expecting more colour. What a let down.

I think this is the worst listing local to me. How a large chain think these pictures and floor plan will generate viewings is beyond me. :(

Must be a rental. They never got into the house!

I think it's estate-agent-speak for small and expensive

Evening all - anyone have a view on this?

    https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-60629689.html

They've had it up with two different agents for nearly two years now.

It's what I'm looking for - a couple of years early - and I'm wondering what I might be missing...
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

House Bought July 2020 - 19 years 0 months remaining on term
Next Step: Bathroom renovation booked for January 2021
Goal: Keep the bigger picture in mind...

Personally the proximity to the railway line and the industrial motor unit across the road would be alarm bells for me.

It's a fair way from the railway line. Not too sure about the motor unit, though. Might be able to make a cheeky offer (as Phil and Kirsty would say) if it's been on for 2 years.

What's the area at the rear in front of the gate - is that part of the property?

Been on for 2 years and is empty, could do with decorating and what else needs doing if it's been empty for 2 years?

Could be worth giong in with a low offer and working up to about £110k - might take it, particularly as whoever owns it must be paying council tax, insurance and other bills on an empty property.

No harm in offering but if a house has been on the market for that long I suspect a factor is the vendor stubbornly refusing to budge on the price.
