Never having seen it, I somehow imagine that this is what the sets on Game of Thrones or some nerdy quasi medieval computer game look like.

But what is it that they do to make the photos look so weird (as if the subject matter wasn't weird enough)?

Does anybody here remember the Myst computer games?

Yes, but in Myst, one doesn't have a big jet coming over on the final approach to Heathrow every few minutes....well, not in my version anyway! :rotfl:

A few agents seem to appy Photoshop filters to photos, taking them just one step away from reality. It's what I sometimes do with a photo that hasn't quite worked out as intended.....

Thought I knew an agent who does this to 'ordinary' property, but they have now joined the mainstream.

Seriously? is photo 3 the estate agent's image of romance? :rotfl:
<nerd>it's not "fine wine and belgian chocolates" romance, it's the historical period</nerd>

But holy holy, those pictures. "Gerald, go and take some pictures. I want the widest of wide angle lenses - perspective distortion be damned! - and make sure you dial up the HDR to eleven. Or twelve. Or a hundred. Whev. Also, don't take too many. Pixels cost money, you know!"

    I see what you mean..

Though I'm offput by the fact the front garden has been replaced by a carpark (though, obviously, it could be fixed with a few hours of a mini-digger etc).

I wouldnt have used grey myself for decorating in that area of the country. I tend to think one can only paint things grey if the area of the country is one with southern England light and greater chance of blue skies. Hence I had decided to in current house - but then thought "Not here I don't..." and used warmer/lighter colours.

Certainly uses every inch of the plot its built on - in fact it looks like they persuaded 2 other neighbouring properties to part with half of their gardens to squeeze in the drive and parking area.
Its 'orrible as a home but maybe as a film set has potential. Perhaps you get a view of the Thames from the turret? :D
