Looks lovely, but I'm not actually convinced about it 'offering plenty of light throughout', considering that they've had to put all the lights on for the pictures on a day that was probably as sunny as it's ever going to be.

I agree, it looks lovely but very dark inside.
  • Very nice ex-vicarage for reasonable money this close to the centre of Stafford.

    But:
What's with the ground floor layout? - front hall leads only to the kitchen and you have to walk through two rooms to get to the sitting room? Eh?

And: The property is reached via a public footpath which continues to the private driveway and leads to the property and extensive grounds of large lawns and ample parking for several vehicles.

How do you get vehicles down a public footpath? Is this why this 5-bed cellared house with huge gardens has no garage?
    AN ESTATE AGENT'S OFFICE

ESTATE AGENT 1 is seated at a desk, reviewing a new listing.

ESTATE AGENT 2 enters, and drops the keys to a Mini Cooper on the desk.

EA1: "Ah, hello EA2. We have a new listing!"

EA2: "Excellent, what where how much?"

EA1: "A detached semi detached with a drive that's not a drive. Stafford. A hair over half a mil."

EA2: "I shall go and take pictures forthwith! Half a mil, you say? Such a premium property requires that I shall take our very best potato with which to photograph it!"

It's a baffling listing altogether. It is described as both detached and semi detached, but it's unclear where the rest of the semi is.

I used to live in Stafford and must have driven past this place several times a week for 2 or 3 years, but I can't visualise it and I have no idea if it's noisy.

It looks good value if it's the whole thing, but it's hard to see if there are two front doors from the picture.

Incidentally, since when did everyone become American and started calling a loft an 'attic'?

Definitely style aspects I'm not keen on - and the "spiral staircase - so how does one get furniture up/downstairs? thing".

But I can't believe how much space there is for the money.
  • That living-room carpet is not messing about, is it? That's SRS BSNS carpet, none of your fru-fru "neutral tones" here!

On the expensive side for Mablethorpe, I'd say.

Wow! Mablethorpe must be blimmin' cheap then:eek:

EDIT; Quick google later and the cheapest-I'd-look-at-there is £190k.
