I know it's not a house but what gives with this "bath"?
    https://www.ukbathrooms.com/products/bette-labette-bath.html

a dainty yet practical solution for the smaller bathroom space. Giving interior designers and DIY enthusiasts alike a new angle to reconsider the interior, the smaller size of Labette is a finely engineered piece of bathroom ware. Without compromising on the user experience, Labette can be fitted comfortably into the most snug of bathrooms

Who in their right mind puts the bathroom and only toilet in the house on the second floor? (See Floor Plan)

What if you fancy a few pints of an evening?
Good spot. At a guess, someone in a 3-bed house who wants it to be a 4-bed by going into the attic. As the attic makes a better bathroom than bedroom (slopey ceilings maybe?), the bathroom went there and the 4th bedroom went where the 1st-floor bathroom used to be.

I rather like that house, it's been quite well done, but yes that would be a bit of a pain. If it were me, I would try to find a way to squeeze a ground floor loo under the stairs somehow. If you go for one of those loos where the handsink is set into the top of the cistern you can fit them into very small spaces.

That's exactly my thought. You wouldn't be allowed to build a four-bedroom home without two toilets nowadays anyway. Our house is a four-bedroom with an upstairs bathroom but we managed to squeeze a toilet-shower room under the stairs and had to take out a small corner of the kitchen.

Very nice ex-vicarage for reasonable money this close to the centre of Stafford.

    But:
What's with the ground floor layout? - front hall leads only to the kitchen and you have to walk through two rooms to get to the sitting room? Eh?

There is a door into the dining room through the open porch. Looking at picture 12 I would take that to be the front door rather than the rear porch leading through to the kitchen and it is not that unusual to have a dining hall.

Its a stunning house if you don't mind the motorway noise.

Personally I'd say that dining room was actually a rather spacious hall.

Still marginally better than one of these though

Searching memory - but, as I recall, sitz baths (which is basically what this one looks like) are recommended as naturopathic treatment for various ailments.

I've often wondered where one is supposed to get them from.

EDIT; yep...quick google later...and it's for hydrotherapy - ie health problems in the "lower regions".

And: The property is reached via a public footpath which continues to the private driveway and leads to the property and extensive grounds of large lawns and ample parking for several vehicles.

How do you get vehicles down a public footpath? Is this why this 5-bed cellared house with huge gardens has no garage?

It's a baffling listing altogether. It is described as both detached and semi detached, but it's unclear where the rest of the semi is.

I used to live in Stafford and must have driven past this place several times a week for 2 or 3 years, but I can't visualise it and I have no idea if it's noisy.

I assumed the other semi was at the back - from what I can see of the window positions they seem to be at the front/sides of the property, hence my assumption.

We almost viewed a similarly divided house in the West Midlands a few years back, but ruled it out because whilst it had the appearance of a detached house from the front (and the more attractive exterior), it had the disadvantage of being attached not just to the hall and a couple of other rooms of the adjoining house but to virtually every room :(

    It's an attractive house though!

that naked ladies proportions look well wrong :)

Also that lonely looking toilet in the room next to garage might work if it was used as a bedroom but no so well if you opted for reception room.
