From the Rightmove page...Additional Land - Extra land extending to approximately 81.74 acres in various Lots is also available by Informal Tender, the Tender date for which is Friday 27th July 2018 at 12 noon. Details of which are available upon request.0

That's its Achilles heel, I suspect; everything listed will need replacement as it was.
The location's good; cousin of mine lives within gnat's nadgers.
£200k? Nah. Potential for 90acres there altogether, on good land too.
So worth a punt then for someone that wants a farm??
I'm guessing one can't be forced to renovate a Listed building - and it would just be left to "return to earth" and impossible to use the land it's on for any other building??
Can't say I think it's very likely that anyone would even try to renovate the house itself - and hence presuming one could be forced to do any renovation according to its Listed status, but not be able to be forced to renovate it in the first place?0 -
Ahhhh, it's nice to dream, isn't it? Just imagine, no chavs for 90 acres...0

But then people who lurve old property might want the house more than him/her, so buy the house, sell off much of the 10 acres and keep a pony paddock & big garden.
Who knows? It's a good location; better than many dumps where other old, dilapidated houses exist, where inward investment might be riskier.0 -

This is a lovely piece of period design looks-wise, in an iconic building, but not really set up for modern living and a lot of money for the space. Though I know the location and it's very nice.

It's just as well that I don't have the odd million floating around. Much as I love it, the service charge, the need to renew the lease and to acquire appropriate stylish period furniture, is wrecking any attempt to fantasise about living there.0

One of the clearest examples I've seen for a while of a Marmite property - either love it or hate it.
I hate it.
Looks like a municipal carpark to me. All that particular bete noire of mine - ie concrete.:eek:_pale_
Give me a countryish thatched cottage (on second thoughts - don't - reminding myself about insurance costs again, as I studied the details of one earlier today - thinking "I'd just have to replace that main roof darn it") or 21st century standard modern taste (which is what I'd be hoping to get) any day.0
