I cant imagine the beam in the kitchen was there when it was first built. Looks out of place for the area the house is in.
I think it's just boxing around an RSJ, possibly put in when the kitchen was extended.

Clicking on Streetview within this listing leads to what appears to be an abandoned Chapel of Rest??

Is it even the same property? The window onto the street is completely different.

They've obviously chosen to display the dead centre of the postcode.

Come on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.

I saw somebody on another thread mention they had 14 meters of kitchen worktop. I wondered why on earth you'd want that.

Sounds distinctly lust-worthy to me....quick calculation and I've got about 6 metres (including set-in cooker hob and my double-drainer draining board). This is the kitchen I had put in myself - after ripping out the totally inadequate previous one.

Yep - I could easily use another 4 metres worth and wouldnt object to more.

It's not the chopping space, it's the layout. My kitchen has plenty of work surface but a !!!! layout that irritates me. Installed by the previous owner it's only 5 years old and still looks good, so I can't justify replacing it.

The only bedroom in the property, and you can't fit a bed in there...?

It's a bit confusing. The floorplan says the bedroom is 9'10" by 7' and the description says you can fit a standard double bed and a wardrobe in it, but the photo shows a room maybe 3-4' wide. I guess that's why it's a "one bedroom / studio flat"--the bedroom is caught in some kind of dimensional rift. Or is that the storage room?

Someone wanted it enough to offer, anyway. I will try to not keel over at the price.

There is another listing for the flat and that makes the bedroom look tiny too

I've just spotted the issue on the floorplan. The door is in a wee alcove, so they've used the width measurement from there, even though most of the room is way narrower.
    Well spotted :T
Still wondering how you can get a "standard 4ft 6in double bed and wardrobe" in there
