Do you think the seller could have done any more to tidy the place up before the EA came round?

Tenant in situ! It grins, like this is a good thing. I kind of get a sense 'Can't get rid of cr*ppy tenant for some reason or other!'

Imagine Christmas dinner in the ballroom with all the family

    Un-insulated ceiling...

Large single pane wood frame windows...

    15ft ceilings

either your heating bill would be in the £000's or you would be wearing coats at the table.

looks great, but I wouldn't want to live with it!

All true but tbh if I could afford a house like that in my area I would happily take the hit of higher energy bills.

Sometimes its not about the money.

The windows could be replaced over time to be more energy efficient but I would put up with the higher costs for a house like that or modify the house accordingly where I could.

On the plus, I like a cold house so would feel perfectly at home.

I'm glad it hasn't been entirely vulgarised by putting plastic windows in throughout.

Incredible price -that's a small 2 bed flat where I am.

You'd end up spending all the time at home in that big semi... venture out the door and you'll find yourself in Grimsby, urgh! ;)

But you would have "exclusive" views of the fountain in the park opposite to keep you entertained.
