An acquaintance whose house is similar in most respects to that one, had a head-on smash happen outside, and a chunk was knocked from their cob (mud) wall.
Six months later, they were still no closer to a resolution, so with the insurers still locked in battle, this person filled-in the hole himself on a 'temporary' basis.
That was 3 years ago! No sign of a proper fix yet.0 -
The owners of this one aren't doing themselves any favours with the clutter and generally poor presentation, the situation's not great and the price is 'hopeful.'
But what will kill it is the Street View, which besides reinforcing how long it's been on the market, shows what's already happened to the neighbour's property, admittedly in an even worse position.

The cottage to the mentioned property's right? It could be damage from a vehicle hitting it as its almost on the road.
Chances it was a commercial/agricultural vehicle as all the SV shots feature one of these.0 -
For some reason I'm not allowed to quote today, ( I managed to quote yesterday). So this reply is about the cluttered cottage on the main road near Exeter.
The floorplan doesn't help either.0 -

But once every person and their spouse and dog started doing it = what's the point now?
What about when it is more instructive?

Well! Anyone seen a kitchen tiled like that before? I presume the plaster is added after the tiles. Surely they are not all cut in that curvy way? But the main question is why?0 -

saw something similar in a house where the owner had used all the free stuff he could find and it was a way of making a pile of broken tiles work round the kitchen sink area (it looked quite good in a small area) but to do deliberately it in all the rooms seems a little odd. Do you think it was a way to patch up a vandalised rental?0 -
