I hope the person who lives here is punctual...

My FIL has 40 clocks in his house. Most chime on the hour, some half an hour. Takes me 2/3 days to get used to all the ticking and tocking0 -

A house that size with a garden that size doesnt quite match - and I guess the answer is that newer house that looks as if it's just behind the wall of the back garden (ie probably sitting on land that used to be part of the garden). That fact would aggravate me enough to put me off the house I'm afraid (unless that house was also on the market - so could be bought/knocked down and rest of garden restored).
You'd need a lot of money to be knocking down a house in Southwold....
Unfortunately although it's a lovely house, it's on the junction of two roads and would have quite a lot of traffic going by, so I'd need to be able to pick it up and move it somewhere else.Make £2025 in 2025

This one popped up on wreck of the week - though it's no wreck.

Somewhere between wonderful and w.t.f - fantastic location, but no utilities at all and needing a 4x4 to get to it !0 -
Strangely I can fantasise about living without mod cons in the middle of nowhere but can't rid myself of the worry that the cliff will collapse and eventually take those cottages with it.
Also, just thought, what kind of modernisation is possible for a house with no access to utilities? Surely it's just a case of decorating?0 -

I feel much the same about this one, although the mod cons are in place:

Lovely house - but spot the dog
