Horses for courses I guess.. Personally I wouldn't live in a house without one as I enjoy entertaining so much but my sister was aghast when she saw the first flat I bought asking about the smell of cooking in the living space. I replied that the smell of HER cooking would indeed be dreadful but hopefully mine was a little more aromatic. I agree that one isn't the best example though.

That's a quite impressive maximising of the space available (and none of the bedrooms a crappy boxroom either). Shame that the conservatory makes the living room so dark. Same problem with the kitchen and carport.

It's not really a conservatory either which makes you wonder if it meets planning and building regs.

They have certainly maximised the space and the bedrooms all look like proper doubles but it's all out of balance in terms of the living and dining space. Not sure how it could work.

And why call it a conservatory when it appears to have a solid roof? That would make it a garden room...... which would mean building regs apply....which makes me suspicious!

Edit: Beaten to it. Should have refreshed me browser!

Funny - I thought the living space was a pretty fair size. 18'+ of living room plus another 10' garden room - building regs not withstanding - is pretty good going for most houses, as is 18'+ of kitchen, and with parking for 4-5 cars and a pretty decent - if you compare to new build standards anyhow - sized garden, the balance doesn't look too far out.

Bedroom 3 is a bit odd - but would make a guest room I guess.

    I'm on a roll tonight.

Plenty of off-road parking with this one.

Every room in this house is a decorating fail. Why are people so clueless when it comes to designing an interior space or combining colours? They aren't even sure if they're designing a modern house or something "quaint".

Surely part of the planning for the hard standing would have been turning it into a private garden - would make that property so much more desirable. As it is, expect coach loads to turn up expecting refreshments....
