Urg. I'd use that as a study. But at least they put a bed in there!
Go onto the sold prices and look at the floor plan for the property sold in 2013, you will notice that there was a downstairs loo.

The extension has three floors, but only the ground floor is shown on the floorplan. Do the other floors belong to the neighbours?0 -

Looking on the satellite view the extension has a roof garden which presumably belongs to the neighbour along with the first floor.
The house for sale seems to have the original gardens for both properties.0 -
