I can see the attraction of that quirkiness personally - though not my taste.
That house is one that would have me sitting there thinking "Euston -we have a problem. This house is so bog-standard boring etc etc that it's a challenge to give it a bit of style". Its true that they could have done a better job of bricking up the front door - but quick glimpse of the front of the house shows it's in a set-up where the neighbours could soon start to feel very intrusive if they were of the nosy type. So I guess the back entrance feels that bit more "private" and hence why they did that - so that their "comings and goings" didnt get constantly watched by the neighbours?
When you've got neighbours like that - then you do try and minimise their "observations"....0 -
