I was using "searches" generically. As soon as I saw they were on the edge of town with a nice big field around them I was suspicious about it. Less than 5 mins later I had the details simply by doing a Google search for the name of their cottage and the farm highlighted on the map and I know nothing about the area! It took me longer to confirm that the details were available before they bought, but that wouldn't have been an issue back then, of course.
I don't understand people that buy a place because it is surrounded by fields and don't even seem to ask the questions a) who owns the field and b) what are their plans for the field.
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -

We viewed a few houses with good views, but never pursued any of them- we decided to go with the philosphy of not buying a house with a view unless you a) own it or b) it is definitely not going to be built on as it is country park or similar0 -

I've viewed a few of these. Nice though they are, I came to the conclusion that if I was going to live in a rather wet and windy place, I'd prefer cavity walls and a less breathable structure. In other words I wimped-out!
Don't regret it though.0 -
This house is doing the media rounds because nothing has been done since it was built.
