If I had the time and money, I'd love to buy this "doer upper" although I'd be a bit put off by the adjacent area being developed to include a public convenience!

"This seafront location means you can take advantage of the local fishmonger providing fresh fish caught daily, watch the kite surfers, jet skiers and other water sports activities taking place or ...........watch the tide come straight into your living room" :D

But I do agree shame about the public convenience:(

that was my first reaction when i saw the garden is lower than the beach and there is a "substantial" staircase provided from upstairs on the road side (front?) of the property so you can get out

but as it is sold STC seems like at least one buyer is [STRIKE]less realistic[/STRIKE] more optimistic than us lot ?

Seems Lady Toozie is not around to appreciate it :(

Continental sunshine buckets: Pic 10, & then the err, panoramic pic 11.
Excellent attention to detail from the EA
    Spacious extension pic 7.
The space being in a less than desirable direction.

as you are used to the lingo, please can you translate "a floor of collections"
Is that where the buckets go to die once the sun induced skin cancer gets to them?

However, the quest is now on: a cheap oceanside property in NZ (or elsewhere in the southern hemisphere) for November to April; & on a bus route please.(
cheap is such a relative term - one would have to agree with the EA that it could be applied to "you ain't seen nothing yet" but there again that is a truism because a) it is on the "outer link" bus route https://at.govt.nz/bus-train-ferry/timetables/ for Herne Bay so is infested with bus dependent lower echelons and b) shares its name with the other place in which I once had to sojourn due to a transitory income hiatus and c) I have indeed not yet seen anything, since nothing is, by definition, unseeable anyway

but lo, there is hope still, for "I can see a rainbow" offers "a better location with its neighbouring upper class homes", albeit apparently this one is in need of demolition before such glories manifest themselves

let us therefore review "a fabulous find" but swiftly reject it on the basis the bed is located in a cupboard behind doors and the bathroom (pic 5) relies on vegetation rather than frosted glass for privacy

reappraising our journey we must consider if "looks like a million" fulfils initial promise, but sadly not for it is more akin to this

we are therefore forced to conclude that the way forward lies in "negotiation", where we will thankfully be one street removed from the hoi polloi in the buses and able to translocate by private boat instead, thus also avoiding the [STRIKE]monsters[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]mothers[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]maniacs[/STRIKE] drivers on the school run to the place just down the road. We can furthermore be grateful that, as the dollar is worth half a mighty pound, (as is only fitting for such an inaptly named colonial currency) it is indeed going to be cheap for such a compromised location given it is not Herne Bay original - where only the righteous doth live
