Yep..wondering what it is.
However, there are two houses I know of (back in home area) where the sitting room had a metal pole in that was quite definitely helping to hold up the ceiling:eek:.
The people I felt sorry for were the neighbours, as both houses were terrace houses. Wouldn't be the worlds best news ever to come home from a day at work and find your OH saying "The neighbours have brought the house down (literally) with their irresponsibility and ours went down too".
Do insurance companies pay up when a neighbours' irresponsibility causes your house to "fail"?0
