It strikes me that a lots of people live there....extended family???
But maybe someone is either not well, money has died up, or there are other issues in not wanting to care that much for your large/house garden?

 Just as I was thinking to myself that I draw such a firm distinction between Total Old Wrecks (but they are charming...you never know) if they're in some European country, but absolutely everything in a British house is mentally ripped-out automatically if its, say, pre-1980s (unless its very obvious "character" and in good condition)
and maybe I should be more "forgiving" of the bad state of many British houses.....
......along comes a reminder as to why I am (in the shape of Swedish houses again), as I've never yet mentally ripped-apart any Swedish house, as they always seem to be in normal modern condition to start with.....
Sighs...wishes British houses were all up to that level....and mentally reaches for chequebook again to finish mine off...
Wonders if someone wants to explain why their houses always seem to be "finished", but many of ours aren't?0 -
