Or buy a small part of a island & you get a boat, antiques, & an athlete or two thrown in

Compare and contrast with those million pound London properties!
If I bought an island I wouldn't accept shelling out property tax for every dwelling on it to some (pet hate of mine) council on the mainland
It would be a UDI & war!0 -

Michael Howard isn't grey, or even greyish, though he has a Dark Side.
Here he is, and Theresa May. It's clear from his expression that he thinks so anyway.0 -
Can't say he looks like that

I love the look of this place from the front, and the outbuildings...and the welsh tapestry blanket on the bed in 17!
Turn the outbuildings into holiday cottages........up market of course (for L Laura)
B & B in the house (Bed & breakfast-Laura!!)
Field for tourers & camping, and maybe a few statics.
Planning permission................probably wouldn't be granted, take a look at the lane on street view!
One can dream!:j0 -

That's the Spitting Image John Major puppet. There never was any mystery or competition as to who it was.
Major was always depicted as grey and boring in Spitting Image, a satirical programme. His affair with Edwina Currie actually increased his human cred in some people's eyes, although Currie was not popular.
Here endeth the lesson....:o0 -
Maybe 'cos he doesn't.
