That streak of orange fat on the wall above the cooker _pale_
How can anyone have a kitchen of that size able to cook etc when it's dark outside with a single light with a shade that makes things darker? My kitchen is half the size and need my 3 light ceiling fixture? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
:rotfl:The car park at Lulworth is massive and can be completely full on a nice day in the summer. It is a beautiful spot though.
I can't believe they managed to find angles for photographs that avoided showing the car park! I have a friend who lives within sight of that house; she said that they're having trouble shifting it because it's an up-market house in a dreadful location because of the car park.
I understand it has been a B&B in the past - probably the best use for it.0 -

It's amazing what the clone tool can do when editing photos.
I use it all the time to remove people in offensive clothing etc when tidying-up pictures of open gardens, or similar scenes.:D0 -

Quick study of plan later and couldn't actually spot a utility room. Maybe that bed is in the kitchen, as it appears to be in two halves so to say? Well I guess we don't have to wonder why they are moving then? A need, as opposed to a wish, for a 3 bedroom house.0 -
Just been having a nosy at "houses" London on RM, not sure if this link will work. Just got me thinking about the "divide" these prices are unreal and the "look" of the properties are all similar.
Pool, cinema room, nowhere looks lived in, houses don't looked used in any shape or form.
I sometimes wonder if the people who are selling these houses, or the people who have rented them have any inclination that you can buy a terraced in some parts of the country for £30K, and make it into a home.
I expect some do....maybe?
I suppose it all comes down to being "happy" I am very contented living where I am with my family & friends around, and I love my house and have got it almost the way I want it to look, but it has taken years and lots of hard work.
Similarly people living in the houses below are probably happy in a different way-they do look like the interior designers all sing from the same hymn sheet. But I expect the designs are "fashion" for today, in another 5 years, there will be another trend.

Here's another one, check out the kitchen tiles, I think I'd be suffering from vertigo after a while!

They were well-used years ago. I lived in one of those £10m locations for a while when I was a teenager.
Like many youngsters going from the sticks to the smoke, my home was a hostel: a huge place in a South Kensington square. I stayed until I found some decent guys to rent a house with.
Of course, our first rental house wasn't in any of the posh areas, but in those days Notting Hill and Ladbrook Grove were certainly not on our list of desirable places.
Two of my friends were evicted from their flat in Acton and ended up in Notting Hill. I felt extremely sorry for them! :rotfl:0 -
